There will be 75 questions from each section, carrying one mark each, for the four papers. No negative marking will be done for any question answered incorrectly. Each paper will be held for the duration of 2 hours. The question paper will consist of the syllabus from class XI and class XII.
Last year, approximately 5,000 students had answered the particular test from 12 centers. It is expected that around same number of students will answer GCET 2016. However, the number of GCET centers will go up to 15, this year.
A detailed prospectus for GCET 2016 would be made available in February, on www.dtegoa.gov.in which is the website of the directorate of technical education. The directorate has been conducting the test since past 11 years.
