The registration date for BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) has been extended now. Earlier candidates could apply for the same till March 5, but now the date has been extended to March 8 till 5 PM. Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani had released the examination dates for the exam earlier, according to which it is scheduled to be conducted from May 14 to 28.
The exam is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Master of Science (M.Sc) in various disciplines offered at Goa and Hyderabad campuses for the academic session, 2016-17. BITSAT 2016 online test will be conducted across 51 cities in India, including its campuses in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai.
The candidates, who have completed the application process online and paid requisite fee but want to correct any mistake in the form submitted by him/her, he/she, can do this between March 7 and 8. A sample test is also available for the registered candidates on the official website of BITS.
The candidates must be 12th passed from a recognised board or institute.
The duration of the exam will be three hours. The exam will be of objective type and will be divided in four parts namely: Part I, Part II, Part III and Part IV. The examines will have to answer 150 questions carrying three marks each. The paper has negative marking as well, with one mark deduction for an incorrect answer.
The exam will be segregated into the following four parts i.e.
PART 1: Physics
PART 2: Chemistry
PART 3: English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning
PART 4: Mathematics/Biology (For B.Pharm)
The score is made available to the candidates on the screen immediately after the test making the process transparent.
How to apply
The application fee of Rs 2,200 and Rs 1,700 needs to be paid by the male and female candidates for the registration process.
