5th Edition of Goa Educare Show 2018
The State’s well known Media House Goatimeline held its 5th edition of Education Fair on the 19th and 20th of May this year. It was inaugurated by Ajit Parulekar, Director of Goa Institute of Management and Lalit Saraswat, Director of Sancoale Shipping Ltd. More than 30 educational institutes from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kolkata and Goa participated in the grand affair. Yes Migration Solution, (a leading immigration and education consultant) representative, K. Murli stated that they participated in the expo held by Goatimeline every year. “The response is always good, every year it is a great success. Goatimeline are pioneers at holding such expos and their marketing with their active online presence is very good” reveals Murli.
Anushka Vani a BBA graduate came to the fair in search of a good institute offering MBA courses. “There are number of institutes here at the expo that offers MBA courses, the expo is really great as we students get the chance to interact with representatives of educational institutes located outside Goa” she says. Jonathan Rodrigues, who has just answered his 12th board examinations speaks on similar lines. “I want to major in Biology and here at the fair there are good options. Many of the institutes said that they will get in touch with us very soon.”
Solemnity and seriousness were almost palpable in the atmosphere with parents sitting in grave discussions about the courses offered by the various educational establishments. A representative of Vishwanathrao Deshpande Institute of Technology states that theirs was a premier institute in North Karnataka. “We offer various courses at our campus that has a very good academic climate. We have 1800 students studing within the campus with two boys and two girls hostels. Our placement record is very good and we have MOUs with six companies. Representatives of other establishments too offered extensive information and consultation about their courses and other facilities. Larina Coutinho, who has just completed her 12th from Loyola’s, states that the exhibitors and consultants at the expo were extremely cooperative and informative. “I intend doing MBBS in India preferably, let’s see, I have just spoken to an institute offering the course in Australia, I am sure to find an institute that offers it in India itself as the options here at the fair is quite vast.
As the clock struck 4pm, the number of walk-ins grew multi-fold and Sunday witnessed an even greater response, making the fifth edition of Goatimeline Group’s education fair a huge success.
